Overview

Scotland’s only wood-fired distillery, where fire - not steam - drives the stills.

This is an intimate, working distillery. You’ll see real production up close, in small groups, meet working team members and have time to smell, taste and ask questions.

  • Guided tasting of selected spirits (gin, Scotch, liqueurs);
  • Branded distillery tasting glass to take home.
  • Transport to and from the distillery;
  • Food;
  • Additional drinks (beer, wine or cocktails) from the bar;
  • Additional purchases at the bar or shop;
  • PLEASE NOTE: Guests under 18 years of age will not receive a tasting glass.
  • Alcohol may only be consumed by guests aged 18+. ID (passport or UK/EU driving licence) may be requested.

What to expect

Step inside a working distillery where whisky is still made by fire.

Your 90-minute visit begins with the story of Moffat and how this small distillery came to be Scotland’s only wood-fired operation. You’ll see the raw materials up close, walk through the process from grain to spirit, and spend time in the warehouse where the whisky rests.

Along the way, you’ll taste a selection of your spirits — including wood-fired gin, blended Scotch and whisky liqueurs — with time to ask questions as you go.

Includes a distillery tasting glass to take home.
