2-Day Mount Toubkal Summit Trek from Marrakech with Guide & Meals

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge (3,200 m)

   Pickup from your hotel or confirmed meeting point in Marrakech in the morning. Travel by vehicle through the High Atlas Mountains to Imlil, the starting point of the trek.
2. Imlil

   Arrive in Imlil at approximately 1,740 meters and meet your local mountain guide. Prepare for the trek and begin hiking through the Ait Mizane Valley, passing traditional Berber villages and beautiful mountain scenery.
3. Aremd

   Continue through Aremd, one of the highest traditional villages in the valley, while enjoying views of the surrounding High Atlas Mountains.

   Continue along the mountain trail to Sidi Chamharouch, a small settlement on the traditional route to Mount Toubkal. Take a short break before continuing the climb toward the refuge.

   Continue the ascent toward the Toubkal Refuge at approximately 3,200 meters. Enjoy lunch during the trek and arrive at the refuge in the afternoon. Settle into the shared mountain accommodation, have dinner, and rest before the early summit climb.

Day 2: Toubkal Refuge – Mount Toubkal Summit (4,167 m) – Imlil – Marrakech

   Wake up early at the Toubkal Refuge and have breakfast before preparing for the summit ascent. Meet your mountain guide, check your equipment, and begin the climb before sunrise.
2. Mount Toubkal

   Climb from the refuge toward the summit of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 meters, the highest point in North Africa. Follow your guide across steep and rocky mountain terrain. Weather permitting, enjoy panoramic views across the High Atlas Mountains before beginning the descent.
3. Imlil

   Descend from the mountain through the Ait Mizane Valley back toward Imlil. After completing the trek, meet your vehicle for the return journey to Marrakech.
4. Marrakech

   Return by vehicle from Imlil to Marrakech and enjoy drop-off at your confirmed hotel or meeting point.

Pickup is available from hotels and riads in Marrakech. If your accommodation is inside the Medina or cannot be reached by vehicle, we will arrange the nearest accessible meeting point.

The transfer takes you to Imlil, where you will meet your mountain guide and begin the trek. Travelers who prefer to meet directly in Imlil may do so by prior arrangement.

• This is a challenging high-altitude trek and good physical fitness is required. Bring your original passport, proper hiking shoes, warm clothing, sun protection, water, and personal trekking equipment. Mountain weather can change quickly. In winter conditions, crampons and other technical equipment may be required and can usually be rented in Imlil. The summit is subject to weather and the mountain guide’s safety assessment.
• Accommodation at the Toubkal Refuge is basic and shared. Large luggage should remain in Marrakech or you can bring them and store them in imlil and the guides will help you; bring only what you need for the 2-day trek.
