Don’t worry if you’ve never tried ice skating before—everyone is welcome! Join us for a Swedish winter adventure and experience the thrill of skating on natural ice in and around Stockholm.
Your guide will begin with a safety briefing and introduce you to the equipment. You’ll learn the best techniques for gliding smoothly on natural ice, followed by a few practice exercises before setting off.
You’ll skate for approximately 3–4 hours through beautiful winter landscapes before enjoying a well-earned picnic lunch with hot drinks and a warming open fire.
The destination depends on the ice conditions on the day. We always aim to find the best natural ice available, so the location may vary with the weather. You could skate on a small lake, Lake Mälaren—the fifth-largest lake in Europe—or the Baltic Sea in the Stockholm Archipelago.
Experience different types of natural ice, from smooth, hard black ice to ice covered with water or snow. Wherever the conditions take you, enjoy an authentic Swedish winter adventure surrounded by nature.
Our experienced guides select the location and route based on the conditions to provide the best possible skating experience.
