What to expect

  1. 2h
Kyoto Taishakuten is a beautiful temple nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Kyoto City. As you ascend the mountain path, you strike 108 bells one by one, offering prayers with each sound. Before reaching the main hall, you pass through the "Wisdom Ring" to purify your mind and body before paying your respects. At the summit, ringing the large bell sends its deep resonance echoing through the mountains, cleansing your soul. By the time you descend the mountain, you will feel like a renewed version of yourself.
  2. Nantan City Yagi Monkan Petting Park
    1h 30m
At the old folk house restaurant "Kaeru no Oyado," you can enjoy homemade Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients. This traditional house has been beautifully renovated into a fusion-style restaurant, where the chef skillfully combines Japanese and Western flavors to offer delicious and affordable dishes. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available. You can relax and unwind in a cozy tatami room.
  3. Sonobe Park
    1h 30m
At the "Yatsuhashi Honpo" Shinkōetsu Village store, a factory specializing in traditional Japanese sweets, you can experience making wagashi or purchase them as souvenirs.

Depending on your preference, you can choose between:
