Overview
Follow the story of Joan of Arc on a full-day guided tour from Paris to Rouen, the city where her fate was sealed. Travel comfortably and explore key sites linked to her trial, imprisonment, and execution, while discovering Rouen’s medieval center.
Begin at Notre-Dame Cathedral of Rouen, a Gothic masterpiece, and learn about the city’s importance during the Middle Ages. Visit the Historial Joan of Arc, located in the former Archbishop’s Palace, where immersive multimedia exhibits bring her story to life.
Continue to the Joan of Arc Tower (Donjon), the last remnant of Rouen’s medieval castle and the place of her imprisonment and interrogation.
Enjoy around two hours of free time for lunch, shopping, or strolling. Walk through Place du Vieux-Marché, the site of Joan of Arc’s execution, and visit the modern Church of Saint Joan of Arc. Conclude with the Gros Horloge, one of Europe’s oldest astronomical clocks.
