Overview
Our journey begins in Muscat, heading first to the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear mountain pools, surrounded by palm trees and dramatic rocky landscapes. It’s a peaceful oasis perfect for relaxing, swimming, and taking beautiful photos.
Next, we make our way to the breathtaking Wahiba Sands Desert, known for its sweeping golden dunes. If you have enough time, you’ll visit a traditional Bedouin house before the dune-bashing begins. For guests seeking extra adventure, camel rides are available directly from the Bedouin owners and can be paid for on-site.
After watching the exciting dune-bashing cars and enjoying the magical desert sunset, we will drive back to Muscat.
Please note that the dune-bashing and camel ride is not included in the tour cost. If you would like to add this experience, kindly inform us in advance so we can arrange it for you. An additional charge applies, as mentioned in the exclusions.

At Wadi Bani Khalid, it’s an easy 10–15 minute walk from the parking area to reach the stunning emerald pools. This famous oasis is known for its year-round flowing water, dramatic rock formations, and natural turquoise pools surrounded by rugged mountains. You can swim, relax, or simply sit by the water and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. For those who want to explore further, a short walk upstream leads to narrow canyons, small waterfalls, and hidden pools—perfect for photos and a bit of adventure.
Wahiba Sands

After exploring Wadi Bani Khalid, we’ll continue to the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands. From the dunes, you can watch 4x4 cars performing exciting dune bashing. For those who would like to try it themselves, dune bashing is available as an optional activity. The cost is approximately 35 OMR (95 USD) per car for 1–4 people, paid directly to the desert operator. Please note that we do not provide dune bashing with our own vehicles, as it requires a professional driver, a specially equipped car, and proper insurance. The experience typically lasts around 30 minutes.
We’ll end the day by enjoying a breathtaking sunset over Wahiba Sands while watching the dune bashing cars in action a truly magical and unforgettable desert experience.
