After journeying through the Vatican Museums’ extraordinary galleries, visitors are led into the magnificent Sistine Chapel—the Pope’s private place of worship and a crowning jewel of Renaissance art. Looking skyward, one encounters Michelangelo’s legendary ceiling, where The Creation of Adam immortalizes the powerful moment of divine connection. On the altar wall, his dramatic fresco The Last Judgement dominates the space, portraying a vivid and emotional vision of the final reckoning. More than just a visual marvel, the Sistine Chapel offers a deeply moving experience—an encounter with the spiritual and artistic brilliance of Michelangelo.
Sphere within a Sphere

Positioned prominently in the Cortile della Pigna at the Vatican Museums, Sfera con Sfera (Sphere within a Sphere) is a captivating bronze creation by celebrated Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro. Comprising two fractured, nested spheres that reveal intricate, gear-like interiors, the sculpture evokes a sense of mechanical precision and hidden complexity. Reflecting the fragility and intricacy of the modern world, this thought-provoking work is part of Pomodoro’s long-standing series begun in the early 1960s, which delves into themes of technological evolution, inner conflict, and the precarious balance of global systems.
Galleria Delle Carte Geografiche

The Gallery of Maps offers a mesmerizing blend of artistic beauty and scientific insight, featuring an extraordinary series of frescoes that depict Italy’s geography as it was known in the 16th century. Each intricately painted map captures the unique character of the country’s regions, combining vivid visual storytelling with remarkable cartographic detail. As visitors move through the gallery, they embark on a historical voyage through Renaissance Italy, where art and knowledge come together in a celebration of discovery and design.
