Overview

Discover the highlights of Luxor’s West Bank on this private day tour to some of ancient Egypt’s most iconic sites. Begin your journey at the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs, where magnificent tombs were carved deep into the desert mountains. Continue to the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a remarkable monument dedicated to the powerful female ruler Hatshepsut. Admire its elegant terraces rising dramatically against the cliffs, showcasing the brilliance of ancient Egyptian architecture. The tour also includes a stop at the famous Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Amenhotep III that have stood for more than 3,000 years. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and escort you to the Nile in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for your private 2-hour felucca experience. Once on board your traditional sailing boat, settle onto the soft cushions and enjoy a refreshing drink as you begin your gentle cruise along the river.

As the felucca glides through the calm waters, take in scenes that have remained unchanged for millennia. Watch children playing at the river’s edge, see farmers tending their fields in timeless ways, and spot camels, water buffalo, and a variety of birds along the banks. The peaceful, natural beauty of the Nile offers an authentic glimpse into daily life in Upper Egypt.

Your experience ends with one of Luxor’s most iconic sights: the sun slowly setting behind the West Bank hills, bathing the river in warm golden light. After the cruise, you will be transferred back to your hotel in comfort.
