Overview

The event will be held at つきまさ(Tsukimasa), a Japanese tea store in Shimokitazawa that has been in business for 46 years.

The instructor, who has 20 years of experience as an instructor and is well versed in the history, production methods, and enjoyment of Japanese tea, will demonstrate how to make matcha and sencha green tea.

The instructor also has many years of experience in the tea ceremony and will talk about tea ceremony etiquette.

What to expect

1. Meet at the central exit of Shimokitazawa Station.

2. After the meeting, we will go to a Japanese tea store (10 min. walk)

3. The instructor will demonstrate how to brew Sencha green tea and prepare Matcha green tea.

4. Participants will brew their own sencha and make matcha by themselves.

5. Enjoy tea time with matcha and sencha, and choose from a selection of Japanese sweets.

6. You can also answer questions about Japanese tea and Japanese culture.

The workshop will last approximately 60 minutes.
After the workshop, you may enjoy the tea time at your leisure.
