Overview

In this experience, you will be able to learn the essence of karate as an ancient martial art that gives its practitioners excellent physical health and self-confidence.

Before practicing basic karate techniques like punches, kicks and blocks, we will start with a variety of stretching exercises and light physical workouts that will help guests to move their bodies smoothly so that it will be enjoyable for those who try out a martial arts training for the first time.

Ryo has been dedicated to "Kyokushin Karate" for 20 years.
In 2013, he got the 3rd place at KWU World Championship (-75kg) and has become the All-Japan champion of Kyokushinkan International(-80kg).

In 2020, he got the 2nd Dan of black belt, and as an independent karate instructor, he was invited to the international camp in Cape Town, South Africa in 2023, 2025 and 2026. On January in 2026, Ryo participated in the kata competition organized by Kyokushin Kenbukai and got the 1st place.

60min Session with Karate Gi

60min Session with Uniform: This is a 60min karate session for 1-8 guests maximum(possibly with other group of guests). *Karate Uniform Included:)
Duration: 1 hour: This option is 60min lesson that is good mainly for beginners who would like to experience karate in a short time.
2 Different Venues: The venue for this option is either "Azumabashi Hall" near Asakusa station or "BIG SHIP" near Kuramae station.

90min Karate Session with Gi

90min Session with Uniform : This is a 90min karate session for 1-8 guests maximum(possibly with other group of guests). *Karate Uniform Included:)
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes: This option is 90min lesson that is good for both beginners and karate practitioners.
2 Different Venues: The venue for this option is either "Azumabashi Hall" near Asakusa station or "BIG SHIP" near Kuramae station.

PRIVATE 90min session with Gi

PRIVATE Session with Uniform : This is a 90min karate session for 1-6 guests maximum(only one group). *Karate Uniform Included
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes: This option is 90min lesson that is good for both beginners, karate practitioners and those who prefer PRIVATE training.
2 different venues: Takes place "Azumabashi Hall" near Asakusa station or "BIG SHIP" near Kuramae station.

What to expect

First, you will learn how to bow as karate requires you to “Start with a bow and end with a bow”. You will also practice deep breathing from your belly to help you have more focus and a calm mind.

After that, you are going to do stretching exercises for the major parts of your body, such as leg muscles, hip joints, shoulder blades and chest.

Next, you will practice the basic punches, blocks and kicks with a proper stance. Each technique will be divided into a few moves so that every participant can learn the techniques step by step.

Finally, you will learn the essence of kumite(sparring) training without physical contact so that everyone can practice without any risk of injury. The instructor will teach you how to defend yourself from attacks like punches, front kicks and low kicks with various tips for maximum precision and efficiency.

The host, Ryo focuses on teaching the essence of karate through clear explanations with demonstrating different techniques. Also, the whole lesson is designed for both beginners and those who have experienced karate before. Let’s work out and learn karate, an ancient martial art of Japan with a Japanese black belt!
