Overview
This is a private tour (Sedan) from Muscat to Nizwa. You will get to explore several aspects of the city of Nizwa. We will show you the hidden places, the alleyways and let you interact with locals. You will also get to try Omani local food from street vendors and witness many activities within Nizwa Souk (market). We seal our trip with a visit to the Oman across ages museum which is a temporary state of art museum showcasing Omans culture and history.
You will be picked up from your location in Muscat and dropped off to any location you prefer within Muscat. You will decide on how many stops you prefer to have on the way to Nizwa and what restaurants you want to dine in.
This is a family style tour. Your driver is also your tour guide. Any customization and changes are welcome. Our aim is for you to enjoy and have fun.

Nizwa Souq

Walk along the biggest traditional souq (market) in Oman. From local farmers product to local food, experience the Omani culture at its finest. Traditional auction style livestock market along with many antiques and handcraft shops as well as traditional weapon markets.

Explore on foot or on a golf car the heritage village (Open air style) of ALAQOR near Nizwa market. Indulge in the Arabic and Islamic architecture and a sip of coffee from the traditional style coffee shops
Nizwa Fort Oman

one of the oldest forts in Oman built in the 1650s to protect the city of Nizwa from invaders. Explore the unique old defense systems, the traditional weapons and the canons alongside the fort alleyways.
Oman Across Ages Museum

The biggest and the most contemporary Museum in Oman and the middle east. The museum takes you through a journy that started millions of years ago. The experience showcase how the country was built and the different cultures and regimes that ruled Oman.

Gold car tours are optional and not included in the tour. Travelers can purchase those tours directly from locals in Nizwa

The total drive (two ways) from Muscat to Nizwa is 3-4 hours
The entry fees of the Musesum and the Fort varies based on Nationalities and Residency type and age. Please check the entry fees online on the official sites and pay directly at the reception.
