In my lesson, you can learn how to make mochi using glutinous rice flour.
Using the mochi you will learn how to make strawberry Daifuku (out of Strawberry season, we use other fruits such as Pineapple, Kiwi, etc..), several flavors Dango (mochi balls in a skewers), Warabi-mochi, and Isobe-mochi. (you can download the mochi-ice cream recipe too)
After the lesson, you can taste your creations (incl. mochi-ice cream) with Japanese green tea or Hojicha (roasted green tea), or take them with you in a special box.
In addition to making Mochi, we will also introduce the history of Mochi and how it related to Japanese tradition. We will teach you various ways to eat Mochi.
Since our recipe are simple and easy, you can recreate them by yourself for your family and friends after you return to your country.
Ingredients are also easily available in your own country, and are made from plant-based products, this class is appropriate for vegetarians, too.
You can have a Japanese gift as souvenir.
