Overview

Step beyond the golden gate of the Palace of Versailles, and enter the living world of Louis XIV’s gilded cage. In this private experience, we crack the code of the courtiers living in the cutthroat world of the French court. In 1682, whether a courtier had the right to sit down in the king’s presence could make or break a career. This exclusive experience reveals how power, ritual, and spectacle shaped daily life under the Sun King.
Rather than simply viewing rooms, guests follow the rhythm of a single day at Versailles, experiencing the palace through the eyes of two figures: the King and the Courtier. On this private, immersive journey, we don't just show you the Hall of Mirrors; we teach you how to survive it.
Our storytelling is rooted in the daily lived experience; the smells, the fashion, the social traps, and the scandalous gossip that filled these halls. Since this is a bespoke experience, we tailor to your interests—whether you are a political buff, or a family with kids.

Your experience will begin with a private pickup from your Parisian hotel in a premium, climate-controlled vehicle.
  2. Palace of Versailles
    1h 30m · Admission ticket included
Next, within the King’s State Apartments, we analyze the King’s rising ceremony, where the simple act of holding the monarch’s shirt sleeve was a pinnacle of political achievement. We will learn about the grueling etiquette that transformed the nobility into captive spectators under Louis XIV’s theatrical performances of daily life.
  3. La Galerie des Glaces
    30m · Admission ticket included
Afterwards, in the magnificent Hall of Mirrors, we uncover the state-sponsored scheme that stole the secret of the Venetian glass masters. Here, amidst the effervescence of chandeliers and thousands of candles, we reconstruct the drama and tantalizing gossip of a court where one’s reputation was hung by a thread.
  4. Jardins du Chateau de Versailles
    1h · Admission ticket included
Lastly, we follow in the footsteps of the Sun King and enjoy a stroll through the vast gardens just like he would have. We explore the hidden groves and the Grand Canal, where we reimagine the less-than-royal smells and the perfumes used to mask the olfactory realities of a palace without plumbing. What clandestine events unfolded there under the foliage and the shade, away from the prying eyes of the King ?
