Overview
The safari offers a thrilling adventure at Aberdare National park. The park is not far from the capital city. Aberdare is unique amongst Kenya’s wildlife reserves with its rainforests, waterfalls, green mountainous terrain and rugged moorlands. Here you’ll find the bamboo groves and high alpine foliage buffalo, antelope, elephant, antelope – even baboon and monkey. The park also herds a large herd of black rhino and some big cats like lion and the back leopard.

Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdare &Evening Game Drive

Starts with pick up from the hotel then drive to aberdares region (Approx transit time: 2.5 hrs), a beautiful mountain range in the central highlands of Kenya.
Arrive in time for lunch at The Aberdare the ark lodge where you will be assisted with the check-in formalities. The Aberdare The Ark is located at 1800 meters above sea level on the Aberdare Ranges, situated in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, iconic and yet quicky, overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. The Ark is comprised of four decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide a superb location for wildlife to be seen. The forested ravines, moorlands, waterfalls, river valleys, and captivating ridges.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive at Aberdare National Park

Wake up to early morning Breakfast then proceeds to the park with picnic lunch where you will see elephants ,rhinos, leopards, monkeys, buffaloes, zebras, and bushbucks wildlife thrives at the Aberdare. While that alone is fascinating . Aberdare national park is colourful vibrance of over 250 bird species for birders’ to spot. The game drives continue until lunchtime, when you have it in the jungle. You then continue with the game drive after lunch. While you’ll still spot generous amounts, high temperatures make wildlife harder to spot in the afternoons a 2hrs guided nature trail in Aberdare National Park, returning in time for dinner and overnight stay at The Ark Lodge or similar
