What to expect

Start early with group pickup from Ubud(or opt for a private pickup from anywhere in Bali). Your destination: Mount Batur. Upon arrival, you'll meet your local trekking guide and receive essential gear like a flashlight and trekking poles. After a brief safety overview, the pre-dawn hike begins. The pace is manageable, with breaks incorporated as needed. As you ascend, the breathtaking volcanic scenery and caldera views unfold. The goal is to reach the summit in time for sunrise (weather permitting). Once there, savor a mountain-top breakfast—a banana sandwich, egg, fruit, biscuits, and hot beverages—while capturing the moment with photos. The descent follows, guided by your trek leader. Afterward, you'll return to your vehicle for transport back to your original drop-off location.

Depending on the package you choose, you can enhance your experience with options like a relaxing soak in natural hot springs post-hike, a photo opportunity at a Bali swing, or both. A visit to a coffee plantation might also be possible, depending on time. Remember to pack a warm jacket, comfortable footwear, and a raincoat if traveling during the wet season.
