Experience and savor authentic techniques passed down from the Edo period.
Join a hands-on soba-making tour in Tokyo’s historic Yanaka district, guided by a master with over 46 years of experience. Each participant receives personal instruction, kneading and rolling buckwheat dough into noodles using authentic Edo-period techniques cherished by Japanese locals. The soba is made from premium JAS-certified organic buckwheat from Lake Towada, stone-milled daily to preserve its delicate sweetness, fragrance, and smooth texture. At the end, enjoy the noodles you’ve created, experiencing the craft of making Japanese soba that resonates with both foreign visitors and Japanese alike.
IMOIRTANT NOTES:
1) People are allergic to buckwheat, wheat or soybeans cannot participate.
2) The soba dipping sauce may contain animal-based or seafood-based broth.
