    We’ll begin with a walk through Sunroad Shopping Street, voted Tokyo residents’ second favorite shopping street in 2022 (just after Ameyoko). Stretching 300 meters and lined with around 150 shops, Sunroad is filled with everyday charm — from cozy cafés and fashion boutiques to long-standing family stores. It’s the perfect place to feel the lively, local rhythm of Kichijoji.

    Next, we’ll visit Gesso-ji Temple, the heart of Kichijoji’s history and the reason this town was originally formed. A peaceful Zen Buddhist temple surrounded by greenery, it remains an important gathering place for the local community.
