Learn how to make the iconic Pastel de Nata in a cozy, hands-on cooking workshop in the heart of Porto, near Sé do Porto, guided by instructors with years of experience in Portuguese pastry.
During the workshop, participants take turns actively participating in the recipe, following a clear step-by-step process under the guidance of the instructor. Participation in the preparation is shared among the group. For full, individual participation in all stages, please ask about our private workshop option.
The class focuses on preparing the custard filling and baking process. The puff pastry is pre-prepared, and you’ll receive a house-made recipe to recreate it at home.
The session includes a short introduction to the history of the Pastel de Nata in Portugal.
Each participant will prepare several Pastéis de Nata, which can be enjoyed on site or taken away. A transport box is included.
Throughout the workshop, enjoy Port wine, juice, water, coffee, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the session, you’ll leave with the confidence and recipe to recreate this Portuguese classic at home.
