Overview

A fully private day from Tokyo to Kamakura and Enoshima: your own fluent English-speaking guide, your own car, and nobody else on board. Your guide collects you at your hotel in the morning, walks every temple and shrine with you, and drives you back in the evening.

The day as we plan it: the Zen temples of Kita-Kamakura, Engaku-ji and Tokei-ji, before the crowds; Tsurugaoka Hachimangu along the Dankazura avenue; Hase-dera and its view over the bay; the Great Buddha of Kotoku-in; then Enoshima island, its shrines and a shirasu lunch. An optional hot spring on the way back. Back in Tokyo around 18:30.

With tattoos, a private bath is the only option; without, the public baths or a private one. Tell us as early as possible so we can reserve it. Lunch, temple entry and the onsen are paid on the day. Pickup and drop-off at any hotel in Tokyo's 23 wards. The tour is private: only your party, your guide and the car.
