UNESCO Le Morne Brabant Slave Route Hiking, Mauritius

Le Morne Brabant is a mountain of the south-west of Mauritius, on the peninsula of le Morne. Our team has been guiding guests from all over the planet on this majestic rock for the past twelve years.
The hike to the summit of Morne Brabant lasts between three and four hours, depending on the pace and homogeneity of the group.
Some steeper parts of the ascent will require the use of our hands to progress safely towards the top, where we’ll discover the breath-taking views on the west and south-west lagoons and part of of the island!
Hiking starts at the set time only - 6h50 a.m OR 12h50 p.m (afternoon hike not available on Saturdays and Sunday). The hike lasts roughly 3h30 to 4h00.

• Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• We strongly suggest you bring the following with you: 1. Sun Protection - Sunscreen, Lip Balm, Sunglasses, Hat. (our Buff†® bandanna’s are ideally suited as they are designed with moisture-wicking microfibre cloth and can be worn as a headband, wristband, bandanna or as a neck warmer) 2. Hydration - A minumum of 1,5 liters of Water - per person. 3. Insect repellant - Mosquito spray / Bug spray / Allergy Medications. 4. Snacks - Energy bars, Gels, Chews, Trail mix. 5. Camera or Binoculars.
• Please be informed that for this activity confirmation of booking will depend upon availability in time of booking. Should the activity not be available for your requested date, we shall propose the next available date during your stay.
• Pickup is available when the purchase includes transfers.
• The meeting point is not where we start the hike, once all the participants have arrived, clients will have to follow the guide in their own vehicle to the starting point of the hike (about 6 km further away, at the foot of the Morne Brabant mountain)
