◆What is Temari Sushi?
Temari, meaning “handball” in English, is a traditional Japanese embroidered ball once used as a toy. Today, temari are generally treated more as home decorations than children's toys.
As you might imagine, temari sushi takes its name from these vibrantly colored temari balls. This is a classic example of food imitating everyday objects.
