What to expect

Gris Gris Beach
4h · Admission ticket included

Nestled in the quiet village of Souillac, Gris Gris stands as one of Mauritius’s most dramatic coastal landscapes. Towering cliffs rise above the vast ocean, offering sweeping views where the horizon seems endless. Unlike the island’s calmer lagoons, there is no coral reef here to soften the sea’s force, so waves crash fiercely against the rocks below, sending powerful sprays into the air and creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

The adventure continues inland with a 200-metre river trek, where the journey becomes playful and immersive. You’ll walk along the water, climb over rugged rocks, and occasionally swim through refreshing pools, making it an exciting yet accessible experience for beginners.

Along the way, hidden caves appear along the cliffs, adding a sense of mystery to the landscape. Though best admired from a safe distance, they enhance the wild beauty of the area. If conditions allow, a natural rock pool offers a perfect spot for a cooling dip.
