The Sphinx stands on the Giza Plateau, near the Pyramids, and is thought to have been built around 2500 BCE.
Here are some key facts about the Sphinx:
•It is about 73 meters long and 20 meters high.
•It was carved from a single piece of limestone.
•Its nose is missing, likely due to erosion or vandalism.
•The “Dream Stele” of Thutmose IV, placed between its paws, tells a story about the pharaoh receiving a divine message in a dream.
