Private tour by car among the treasures of Campi Flegrei and Naples.

Castello Di Baia is located in a strategic position, as it was erected on a promontory 51 m above sea level, dominating the entire Gulf of Pozzuoli up to Procida, Ischia and Procida.

According to legend, the Grotta della Sibilla Cumana was the place where the Sibyl, a mythological figure of the prophetess, offered her prophecies and consulted the gods.

From here you can admire the remains of various residences and spa complexes dating back to Roman times, today partially submerged by the waters in front of the modern port.

Isolated between the current road that crosses Baia and the structures of its port, this building with a diameter of over 25 meters was supposed to be the most important hall of a larger complex.

It was mainly used for gladiator fights and could accommodate up to 40,000 spectators. The Flavian Amphitheater of Pozzuoli stood in the area of ancient Puteoli.

Thus defined by tradition, the Temple of Mercury was actually a large thermal pool, which in the first half of the 1st century. AD, constituted the "frigidarium" of the baths built in the Julio-Claudian age
