Fly from Zanzibar directly to Mikumi and spend quality time exploring the park with your own private guide and safari vehicle, with opportunities for full-day, sunrise and afternoon game drives. Go beyond wildlife with an authentic Maasai Boma experience, where you can discover local traditions, meet the Maasai community and experience their culture. For those seeking even more adventure, add an optional night game drive and discover the African bush after sunset. Your adventure begins with an early morning private pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar at around 4:30 AM. Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Mikumi.
Upon arrival at Mikumi airstrip, meet your private safari guide and 4x4 safari vehicle and start your exciting game drive in Mikumi National Park.
Spend the day exploring the park and searching for Africa’s iconic wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, warthogs and lions, depending on wildlife movements and season.
Enjoy lunch during the safari before continuing with afternoon game viewing.
After the game drive, check in at Double G Hotel, a comfortable 3-star hotel in Mikumi, for dinner and overnight stay.
Optional Night Game Drive:
For guests looking for an extra adventure, an optional night game drive can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to park regulations and availability. Experience the African bush after sunset and look for nocturnal wildlife under the stars.

Wake up early and enjoy a sunrise game drive in Mikumi National Park. Morning is an excellent time for wildlife viewing as animals are often more active in the cooler hours.
Return for breakfast, then continue to an authentic Maasai Boma for a fascinating cultural experience.
Discover the traditional Maasai way of life, visit traditional homes, meet the local community and enjoy traditional songs and dances. Learn about Maasai traditions, customs and their relationship with the surrounding environment.
After the Maasai cultural experience, enjoy lunch before heading back into the park for your final afternoon game drive.
Later, transfer to the Mikumi airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your private driver will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel.
