Old Palace – Bayt Al-’Alam: Discover the history of Bayt Al-’Alam, a former royal palace built by Sultan Said bin Sultan in the early 19th century between Al-Mirani and Al-Jalali Forts. Damaged during tribal unrest in 1895, the palace was later left unused before being demolished in 1971 to make way for the present Al Alam Palace during the reign of Sultan Qaboos.
