From Tangier: Akchour Waterfalls & Chefchaouen Trip with Tajine

1. 2h
Travel through the beautiful Rif Mountains on the way to Akchour, passing traditional villages, green valleys, and dramatic mountain scenery. We’ll stop at a panoramic viewpoint along the road, giving you time to step out, enjoy the landscape, take photos, and experience the peaceful surroundings before continuing toward Akchour.
2. 10m
Enjoy a stop at a traditional Amazigh mountain oven, where locals bake fresh Moroccan bread using time-honored methods. Taste freshly baked bread with traditional Moroccan sweets, experience this authentic local tradition, and take some bread with you to enjoy alongside your lunch in Akchour. You'll also have time to capture memorable photos of this unique setting (we kindly ask that you avoid photographing local residents without their permission).
3. Cascades d'Akchour
   2h
Experience the beauty of Akchour, a hidden natural gem in the heart of Morocco’s Rif Mountains. Surrounded by mountain scenery and lush landscapes, follow your local guide on an approximately 45-minute hike along scenic trails to reach the small waterfalls and crystal-clear natural pools.

Enjoy time by the water to relax, take photos, explore the surroundings, and swim in the natural pools when conditions allow. Afterwards, hike approximately 45 minutes back through the beautiful mountain landscape.
4. Akchour
   1h
After your Akchour adventure, enjoy a hands-on Moroccan cooking experience in a peaceful natural setting. Learn how to prepare your own traditional Moroccan tajine using fresh local ingredients, with guidance from locals.

Discover the traditional preparation process before your tajine is slow-cooked over a wood fire. Then sit down, relax, and enjoy the meal you helped prepare surrounded by the beautiful Rif Mountains.

This separation is much better for Viator because Akchour = nature/adventure and Tajine = hands-on cultural/food experience.
