Overview

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our Kozica Waterfalls Hiking Tour from Sarajevo. Your journey begins with a scenic drive to the charming town of Fojnica, known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty. As we leave the town behind, we venture into the lush, untouched wilderness that Bosnia and Herzegovina is famous for.

The hike starts on a picturesque trail that winds through centuries-old forests, leading you to the enchanting Kozica Waterfalls. Along the way, you’ll be captivated by the serene surroundings and the sound of birds singing. Our experienced guide will share fascinating stories and insights about the local flora, fauna, and history, making each step of the hike an enriching experience.

Upon reaching the waterfalls, you'll be greeted by the sight of crystal-clear water cascading down steep cliffs, creating a series of smaller and larger falls, the tallest of which is about 20 meters high. The breathtaking beauty and the soothing sounds of the waterfalls

Today, Fojnica is best known for its spa, whose radioactivity and medicinal properties were tested at the end of the 19th century. The exploitation of the spa began after the First World War. Fojnica was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the spring of 1463. It was found to be the second largest town in Bosnia, with only Srebrenica being bigger than Fojnica. The number of inhabitants in Fojnica continued to decline. Under Ottoman rule, the settlement was annexed to the Visoca nahija in the 17th and 18th centuries. After our hiking tour, we will stop by Fojnica for lunch.
