Overview

Discover the stranger side of Porto on this 2-hour private walking tour. Hear astonishing stories of Portuguese customs, true crime, folk beliefs and ghosts.

Find out:
- Why the Portuguese torture a saint;
- Why being a university student in Portugal can be dangerous;
- Where sacrifices still take place;
- Which writer had a demon as his co-author;
- How police tracked down a serial killer in Porto;
- Where Porto's haunted houses are;
- Why graves are reopened and what natural mummification has to do with it and much more.

Along the way, you can stop at a historic café with its own ghost story to try a traditional dish with a rather indecent name and vinho verde served in small bowls. The tasting is optional and paid separately.

Some stories are documented history; others come from legends and superstitions. Already seen Porto's main sights? Discover what standard tours leave out.
