Overview
This two-day group-joining camping safari visits Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Travel with other guests in a shared 4×4 safari vehicle while exploring two of northern Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. The tour includes one night at Kizumba Campsite near Mto wa Mbu, park fees, camping equipment, meals, drinking water and services from a professional driver-guide and safari cook.

What to expect
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. Explore landscapes of baobab trees, grassland and the Tarangire River while searching for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, antelopes and predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the afternoon game drive. Later, leave Tarangire and drive to Kizumba Campsite near Mto wa Mbu. Your safari cook will prepare dinner while you settle into your tent for the night.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the crater. Explore its grasslands, woodland and wetlands while looking for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and black rhinoceroses. Stop for a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing the game drive. In the afternoon, ascend the crater wall and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
