What to expect
Casa Natale di Padre Pio
1h 30m · Admission ticket included
To get to know San Pio as a better place than home, it is the town where he was born and where he grew up.
With a visit to the house, it will be possible to understand the humble origins of the saint and the strong spirituality of the place where he was born and raised.
Santuario Padre Pio
2h
The church stands on the mountain of San Giovanni Rotondo and is adjacent to the pre-existing sanctuary and convent where the friar lived and where his remains were kept until he was transferred to the new church dedicated to him. The structure has a shape that recalls that of the nautilus, and its plan recalls the Archimedean spiral, whose fulcrum is placed in the center of the liturgical hall, in the place where the altar is located.
Note: Note: Remaining time is for round-trip travel and time between attractions.
