The host welcomes guests into her home for a hands-on Turkish cooking experience centered around Soğan Kebap. Everything is prepared in advance so guests can start cooking together right away.
The experience begins with a drink, wine or beer if preferred, while the host explains what Soğan Kebap is, where it comes from, and why it holds a special place in home cooking. Guests are then guided step by step through the preparation process, learning how the dish is assembled and cooked before it goes into the oven.
While the kebap bakes, the host continues the experience in the kitchen by preparing a cracked wheat soup, explaining how it is traditionally made and when it is usually served. Throughout the experience, there is time for conversation, cultural exchange, and sharing food stories.
If guests are interested, the host may also invite them to enjoy a short, playful break such as simple boxing moves or dancing at home, but these are optional and secondary to the cooking experience.
At the end, everyone sits down together to enjoy the meal they prepared, sharing food in a relaxed, home-style setting. Please note that there is a dog in the home.
