Overview

See two of Jordan's greatest highlights in one day, with a private car and an English-speaking driver just for your group. There are no other travelers and no fixed group schedule.

Leave Amman early and drive south on the Desert Highway to Petra, the rose-red Nabataean city and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Walk through the narrow Siq to the Treasury and continue to the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and the Colonnaded Street, with about 4 hours to explore at your own pace.

In the afternoon, drive along the Dead Sea Highway to the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Float in the salty water and try the mineral-rich black mud before returning to your hotel in Amman.

Pickup and drop-off are at your hotel in Amman, and the car has air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and bottled water. The Petra entrance ticket is not included (free with the Jordan Pass). Bring comfortable walking shoes and a swimsuit.
