Overview

Create a small work of art using Gaudí's technique! In three hours you will discover that you are an artist too! If you love color, material, and decorative arts, this technique will surprise you! Do you have colored tiles and all the tools for cutting, molding, and fixing? You will be guided in the composition of the project and in the correct use of the technique and tools. You will take your work with you at the end of the job and you won't have to worry about handling it because it will be packaged and protected to be transported anywhere! You will remember this magnificent experience every time you see a Trencadis on walls, on benches or on the sculptures of numerous gardens in Italy (like the Tarot Garden) and abroad (like Parc Guell in Barcelona)

What to expect

You will learn about the technique with which Gaudí created his beautiful mosaics in Barcelona. You will use a tile cutter and a hammer drill to cut the ceramics and follow the lines of your design to create your work of art, a 16x16cm tile complete with a wooden frame! You will be able to take it with you at the end of the lesson, which will last about three hours. 1 step - design choice, 2 step - transferring the design onto the wood, 3 step - cutting the ceramic tiles and composing on the wood, 4 step - grouting and final cleaning
