Overview

Much of Rome’s tourism concentrates around the famed Colosseum and Roman Forum, two of the most popular tourist attractions. During this small-group tour, you’ll get the chance to see these wonders of ancient Rome in a unique, thorough, and convenient way with a local expert guide who will highlight important facts and stories for you.

Step into the Colosseum to explore a place from the distant past. Once inside, your guide will tell you about the amphitheater's history. You’ll get to see evidence of Nero’s great fire, discover grisly details about the gladiators' games, and unveil the truth about the many myths surrounding the place. One of our guides, Valerie, is a professional archaeologist who enjoys bringing history to life in a fun and accessible way.

Your tour will continue to outstanding sites like the Arch of Constantine and Palatine Hill. Afterward, you’ll visit the largest inner-city archaeological area in the world : the Roman Forum.
