52m · Admission ticket not included
Sanssouci, meaning "without concern," was Frederick the Great's summer palace, renowned for its Rococo architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens. The palace and its terraced vineyards reflect the king's desire for a private haven, while the expansive park features numerous buildings, each with its own charm and history.
  4. 52m
The New Garden is a vast landscape park on the shores of the Heiliger See and the Jungfernsee, housing the Marble Palace and Cecilienhof, where the Potsdam Conference took place in 1945. It's a serene spot that contrasts the formal design of Sanssouci with a more naturalistic English style.
  5. 52m
Cecilienhof Palace is where Truman, Stalin, and Churchill concluded the Potsdam Agreement in 1945, shaping the post-World War II order. The Tudor-style palace is now a museum and a memorial to this historic event, offering insights into the decisions made that have had a lasting impact on modern history.
  6. 51m
The Marble Palace, situated in the New Garden, is a fine example of early Neoclassical architecture. Overlooking the Heiliger See, it was another of Frederick William II's residences, celebrated for its elegant marble interiors and the beautiful views it offers.
  7. Glienicke Bridge
    51m
The Glienicke Bridge, known as the "Bridge of Spies," became famous during the Cold War as a site for the exchange of captured spies between the East and the West. It spans the Havel River, marking a literal and symbolic threshold between two worlds.
