Affordable 3-Day Safari to Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Day 1: Serengeti National Park

   Your camping safari adventure begins early in the morning from your accommodation in Arusha. You’ll depart on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro highlands, making your way toward Serengeti National Park. You’ll stop briefly at the Ngorongoro Gate before continuing on through the conservation area, where you may catch a glimpse of Maasai herders with their cattle. A picnic lunch will be served along the route before entering the vast plains of the Serengeti. From here, you'll begin your first game drive en route to the Central Serengeti, an area renowned for its dense wildlife population and regular predator sightings. In the late afternoon, you'll arrive at a public campsite within the park, where your support crew will set up tents and prepare a freshly cooked dinner, enjoy your meal before settling in for the night.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park- Ngorongoro crater

   Rise early for breakfast before heading out for a full-day game drive across the Serengeti’s expansive plains. This day is dedicated to exploring the park, your guide will help track animals such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, hyenas, and—if you're lucky—a leopard lounging. You'll enjoy a packed lunch at a picnic site. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to your campsite in the late afternoon. As the sun sets, your camp crew will prepare another hearty dinner before heading into your tent for a peaceful night.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

   After breakfast, you’ll depart from the campsite and drive toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You'll descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside this unique volcanic caldera. The crater is home to an incredible density of wildlife. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you'll ascend back up the crater rim and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.

However, for your convenience, Vision Safari & Tours can arrange a private airport transfer upon request: Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to Arusha: USD 40. Arusha Airport to Arusha Town: USD 15 If you would like us to arrange your airport transfer, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate your pick-up and drop-off smoothly. Payment can be made in cash/Credit Card upon arrival.
• Luggage Information Safari vehicles have limited luggage space, so we recommend travelling with soft-sided bags or backpacks rather than large hard-shell suitcases. If you are travelling with larger or excess luggage, we can safely store it at our office in Arusha while you are on safari and arrange for it to be available again at the end of your trip.
• Estimated Return Time On the final day of the safari, after your last game drive, we will begin the journey back to Arusha. Depending on the park location, road conditions, and any stops along the way, you can generally expect to arrive in Arusha at approximately 4:30–5:00 PM.
