Overview

This longer snowmobile tour is designed for travelers who want to see Lapland beyond the normal safari routes. By riding along trails that locals love to use, the experience focuses on the landscapes, distance, and variation. With an experienced guide who knows the area well, the route is chosen to showcase some of the best and most varied landscapes in the region, from open swamps to winding forest trails and passing local villages.

Because the day is not rushed, you have time to gain confidence on the snowmobile and drive for longer, seeing much more than on shorter safaris. Lunch and coffee breaks take place at local restaurants and cafés along the way, offering a chance to enjoy regional flavours. The activity is perfect for couples, friend groups, families with older children and individual travellers looking for adventure.

What to expect

The activity takes you far away from the usual safari trails as you get to drive on some of the most picturesque snowmobile routes where the locals love to ride. On the way you will pass authentic Lappish villages and landscapes and hear stories about life in Lapland. The snowmobile track varies from open swamps to beautiful forest trails and offers some truly spectacular scenery along the way.

You’ll stop for a warm, tasty lunch at a cozy restaurant, and enjoy a coffee break at a charming local cafeteria, all while soaking in the authentic atmosphere of Lapland. This activity is a true immersive experience into the region’s culture and natural beauty providing a deeper connection to the area. After this adventure, you’ll understand why
your guides have fallen in love with both snowmobiling and the magic of Lapland.

Single riding is highly recommended due to the nature and duration of the activity. This activity is not suitable for children under 140cm. Children over 140cm may join the tour as a passenger on the snowmobile, when paying the adult price.

We will pick you up from the car park, outside of the Levi Tourist Information centre in Myllyjoentie 2, 99130 Sirkka. Your meeting time is 30 minutes before the start of your activity, so your transfer departs at 10:00. Please be on time, as refunds will not be issued for late arrivals or no shows.

The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B driver’s license. Customers intending to drive a snowmobile must bring their physical driving license with them on the tour. According to Finnish traffic regulations, copies, photographs or digital licenses cannot be accepted. If you do not bring your physical driving license you won't be able to drive and no refund can be offered.
Wild Nordic has 0 tolerance for alcohol and drugs during the activities.
Snowmobile tours are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks, and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
The driver of the snowmobile is held liable for any damage caused to the snowmobile. The self liability amount for damage caused to the snowmobile is a flat rate of 900€. By purchasing an additional self liability waiver for 20€/driver you can reduce the self liability flat rate to 200€/driver/accident case.
Wild Nordic reserves the right to change the route and duration of all excursions due to the prevailing weather and snow conditions or in consideration of the safety and comfort of the participants. Wild Nordic reserves the right to discontinue the tour if a participant is seen as a potential danger to him/herself or to others or is in poor health. Pre-paid safaris will not be refunded in such cases.
