Overview

Experience the atmosphere of Lapland on a guided evening horseback ride with gentle Finnhorses through the forests of Rovaniemi.

As daylight fades, the familiar forest takes on a completely different character. Snow-covered trees, soft moonlight and the steady sound of hooves create a calm and unforgettable atmosphere. Riding through the forest allows you to experience Lapland at its most peaceful—away from artificial lights and crowds.

Our slow-paced riding tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Before setting off, your guide provides safety instructions and helps you become familiar with your horse. The riding portion lasts approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on weather and trail conditions.

After the ride, we warm up by the campfire with a hot drink and a light snack while your guide shares stories about Finnhorses and life in Lapland.

The tour includes safety instructions, riding equipment, a guided forest ride, a hot drink and a light snack.

What to expect

This horseback riding tour is slow-paced and you do not need previous riding experience.

First, we will go through a 15 minute safety issues and get to know our horses. You can borrow a helmet from us. The activity includes about 30-40-minute horseback riding tour in the Lappish forest. And lastly, a 30 minute story about a Finnhorse and with hot juice and a small evening snack by the campfire.
