   5h
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Marangu Gate (1,870m). After registration at Kilimanjaro National Park, you start your hike through dense rainforest filled with towering trees, moss, and wildlife such as colobus monkeys. The trail is well-defined and gently ascending, offering a comfortable introduction to the climb. After 4–5 hours of hiking (8 km / 5 miles), you will arrive at Mandara Hut (2,720m), where you will have dinner and overnight stay in mountain huts surrounded by forest.

You will reach Horombo Hut (3,720m) in the afternoon, where you can relax, acclimatize, and enjoy panoramic mountain views. Dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut.

This challenging but steady hike takes approximately 6–7 hours (10 km / 6.2 miles). Upon arrival at Kibo Hut (4,700m), you will rest, have an early dinner, and prepare for the midnight summit attempt. Overnight at Kibo Hut.
