Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north through Kenya’s scenic central highlands, passing lush tea and coffee plantations on the way to Aberdare National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the park’s dense forests and moorlands. The Aberdares are known for wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, bushbucks, warthogs, and occasionally leopards roaming through the forest ecosystem. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation, with the possibility of watching wildlife gather at nearby waterholes—an experience famously offered by tree-lodges such as Treetops Hotel where animals can be observed safely from viewing decks.
Day 2: Aberdare National Park – Nairobi

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive or guided nature viewing within Aberdare National Park, exploring its montane forests, bamboo zones, and open moorlands that support elephants, antelopes, monkeys, and diverse birdlife. The park is part of the Aberdare mountain range and is known for its cool climate and dramatic landscapes of waterfalls, valleys, and volcanic peaks. Later in the morning, check out of the lodge and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with a stop for lunch or scenic photos along the way.
