Overview

Discover traditional Sardinian weaving in Seulo in an artisanal workshop active for over forty years, where ancient techniques and gestures handed down over time continue to come to life.

You will learn about the history of Sardinian weaving and the pibiones technique, a characteristic relief process that gives fabrics their unmistakable three-dimensionality. You will then move on to practice, using directly the looms of the workshop and experimenting with the gestures of weaving under the guidance of the craftswoman.

To complete the visit, a small tasting of typical Sardinian sweets awaits you, a pleasant moment to also discover the flavors of the local tradition.

A manual and engaging activity that allows us to discover up close one of the most characteristic artisanal traditions of Sardinia.

What to expect

Discover traditional Sardinian weaving in the heart of Barbagia with an artisanal workshop and immerse yourself in ancient local textile traditions.

We recommend parking near the Carabinieri barracks. The laboratory is located in a white house, easily recognizable thanks to the various floral and textile elements present outside, such as frames and decorative threads, which help to identify the entrance.
