What to expect

Day 1: Udawalawe National Park safari
  1. Udawalawe National Park
    3h
Udawalawe National Park is a national park in southern Sri Lanka, established in 1972 to protect wildlife displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir. It is best known for its large and easily visible population of Asian elephants, with hundreds of them frequently seen near the reservoir. The park's open grasslands and scrubland make it an ideal habitat for spotting elephants, as well as other wildlife like leopards, sambar deer, and water buffaloes. The park is also an important bird sanctuary, home to over 180 species, and includes the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, a rehabilitation center for orphaned calves.
  2. Elephant Transit Home (ETH)
    30m · Admission ticket included
The Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home (ETH) is a government-run facility in Sri Lanka that rehabilitates orphaned and abandoned elephant calves with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. You can watch the young elephants being fed milk and a power mix at specific times from a viewing platform. It is part of a program to re-integrate juveniles into the Udawalawe National Park ecosystem, with the hope that they will eventually become part of wild herds.
Day 2: Ella
  1. Ravana Ella Falls
    30m
Ravana Falls is a scenic, multi-tiered waterfall in Sri Lanka, about 25 meters high, named after King Ravana and located near the town of Ella. It is easily accessible from the main road, surrounded by lush greenery, and is a popular stop for tourists.
  2. Nine Arches Bridge
    1h
The Nine Arch Bridge is a colonial-era railway viaduct in Ella, Sri Lanka, celebrated for its nine elegant arches, lush green surroundings, and role in the popular Kandy-to-Ella train route.Constructed in 1921 using local stone and cement due to wartime steel shortages, this "Bridge in the Sky" is a major tourist attraction and a prime example of British colonial engineering.
  3. Little Adam's Peak View Point
    2h
Little Adam's Peak in Ella, Sri Lanka, is a relatively easy hike through tea plantations that leads to stunning panoramic views of the Ella Gap and Ella Rock. The well-marked trail features a mix of paths and stairs, taking about 15-20 minutes to reach the summit at a steady pace, and is popular for both sunrise and sunset.
Day 3: Nuwara Eliya and drop in Kandy
  1. Nanu Oya railway station
    2h · Admission ticket included
The Ella to Nanu Oya train ride is a famously scenic journey through Sri Lanka's hill country, known for breathtaking views of lush tea plantations, misty mountains, deep valleys, and waterfalls. The slow speed makes it ideal for sightseeing, allowing passengers to see local villages and rice paddies as well as enjoy the dramatic, rugged mountain scenery. While third and second-class offer open windows for better views, first-class is more comfortable but can feel more restrictive.
After this train ride our driver will pick you from the Nana ova railway station.
  2. Nuwara Eliya
    2h
Nuwara Eliya is a picturesque city in Sri Lanka's central highlands, known for its cool climate, colonial architecture, and lush tea plantations. Often called "Little England," it offers a variety of outdoor activities like hiking and boating on Gregory Lake, and is famous for its history as the capital of the tea-producing region.
The city has a distinct British colonial character, with many buildings reflecting Victorian-era design.
The area is characterized by rolling hills covered in tea plantations, misty mornings, and scenic waterfalls.
  3. Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden
    1h · Admission ticket included
The Damro Labookellie Tea Factory is a historic tea production center in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, offering you a tour to learn about the tea-making process and a tea lounge for tastings and purchases.
