Our first stop city after Yogyakarta is Lumajang. It takes around 7 hours drives by highway from Yogyakarta to Lumajang.

Day 2: Explore Tumpaksewu Waterfall and Transfer to Bromo

Day 3: Bromo Sunrise and Transfer to Bondowoso City

Rise before dawn and journey to the famed Penanjakan viewpoint for an unforgettable sunrise over Mount Bromo. Witness the sky ablaze with color as the sun emerges, illuminating the volcanic peaks and the Sea of Sand below.

Continue the adventure with a trek to the summit of Mount Bromo. Ascend the stairs and traverse the crater rim, peering into the steaming caldera for a closer look at the volcano's activity.

The journey from Bondowoso to Ijen Crater is an adventure in itself, offering breathtaking landscapes and a glimpse into rural Javanese life. The trip typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours by car, covering a distance of approximately 60 kilometers.

As you get closer to Ijen, the landscape becomes more dramatic. The road climbs higher into the mountains, and you'll start to see the distinctive peaks of the Ijen complex. The air becomes cooler and the vegetation changes, with pine trees and ferns becoming more common.
