We’ll walk through a hands-on introduction to different types of ceramics and use.

On arrival we’ll show you our small batch ceramics workshop. Every day we’re here making ceramics for folks.

Different design elements, decorating techniques, durability and function.

Taller Gingell is recognized and accredited as being an artisan ceramics workshop by the Generalitat of Catalonia.

You learn the differences in basic types of clay such as porcelain, stoneware and earthenware.

Out come the aprons, clay and tools to get your hands dirty.

Our workshop is a licensed fine arts academy by the city of Barcelona.

Learn the ceramics process and three building techniques: coil, slab and pinching.

You’ll get to follow along digging in hands-on.

All materials and kiln firings are included.

No prior ceramics experience is necessary.

Instruction is in Spanish and /or English based on your preferences.

What to expect

Come and have fun. No skills required, a class to try ceramics. You'll learn key ceramic skills a foundation to explore the field of ceramics. An excellent place to learn ceramic skills and test out basic techniques. Visit our workshop. Come on your own or with a friend - this is an open, friendly environment. What you’ll learn and what we’ll do. You’ll learn about the ceramics process, clays and decoration techniques.

Out come the aprons, clay and tools. Get your hands dirty. Hands on choose to make your own cup, bowl or plate. You’ll learn skills ceramists use sculpting by hand. After your form is complete you learn to texture and add decorations. No need to bring anything special, we’ll have an apron ready for you. Let the fun begin.

Your Finished Ceramics
Ceramics take a bit of time to dry. We offer two options if you are just visiting Barcelona:

Option 1: About 1 to 2 weeks later your ceramic piece is ready to pick up or mail. Shipping is not included in the workshop price. We ship worldwide via DHL.

Option 2: Just visiting Barcelona, can’t wait a few days? You can leave your creation and select one from our finished handmade (€25 value) item.
