Overview

What makes this tour truly unique is the combination of two extraordinary natural experiences in a single day. At Las Coloradas, you’ll encounter the world-famous pink lagoons—an otherworldly setting created by natural pigments and high salt concentrations, offering some of the most striking photo opportunities in Mexico. Then, explore the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve by boat, where wild flamingos, crocodiles, and birds thrive in a protected ecosystem. Unlike standard tours, this experience also includes a traditional Mayan exfoliation ritual using mineral-rich white clay in a peaceful natural setting. Your day concludes with an authentic à la carte meal at a local restaurant, blending nature, culture, wellness, and regional flavor into one unforgettable adventure.

After an approximately 2.5-hour drive from Tulum, enjoy a guided visit through designated viewing areas where you can admire the intensely pink waters and capture stunning photos. Your guide will explain how high salt concentrations and pigmented microorganisms create this unique color, and why the shade can change depending on sunlight and weather conditions. This protected ecosystem is also a natural feeding area for wild flamingos, which may be spotted if conditions allow. An unforgettable stop for nature lovers, photographers, and travelers seeking something truly unique in the Yucatán Peninsula.

As you glide through calm mangrove channels, your guide will help you spot native species and explain the importance of this unique ecosystem. Then, relax on a quiet beach and enjoy the traditional Mayan mud experience, applying mineral-rich white clay for natural exfoliation before rinsing it off in the warm lagoon waters.
