Located about a 5-minute walk from the East Exit of Shin-Osaka Station.
This 60-minute workshop invites you to experience traditional Japanese techniques, breathing, and form while immersing yourself in a quiet and focused state of mind.
First half: Decorate a lacquered maneki-neko (lucky cat) with Kyoto washi paper. Then, using a bamboo tube used in traditional lacquer decoration techniques, steady your breathing and sprinkle gold powder to create your own original maneki-neko.
Second half: Turn an authentic stone mill and spend approximately 150 seconds quietly grinding matcha with full concentration. You can then enjoy the freshly ground matcha as tea.
At the end of the experience, put on a Japanese-patterned haori and pose with your handmade maneki-neko. You will receive one instant photo as a souvenir.
