Sarona started as a German Templer colony in the 1870's. Each home and business has a story to tell. Follow the Dguide for a fascinating tour.

To tour inside the museum at the Visitor's Center, see a super film about the 'modern' hydraulic olive press, and visit the underground winery tunnel (most of the tunnel is not wheelchair accesible), you can pay an additional NIS 10 at the visitor's center opposite from where we start the tour.

When you are done with the tour or even in the middle of the tour, go into Sarona Market for a great meal, coffee or snack, or just wander around to see Israeli fast food at its best, and browse the specialty markets with Israeli and imported products.

Take a rest in the Sarona gardens and enjoy the parks, lily ponds, 100 year old eucalyptus trees!

You'll be walking around Sarona Gardens and Sarona Market in the heart of Tel Aviv. Preserved gorgeous buildings from the 19th century tell amazing stories of Sarona's history, from the German Templers' colony, the British Mandate's detention center and military base to the beginnings of Israel's goverment, army and air force.
