From the walkway, tourists can observe towering dipterocarp trees, tropical plants, and occasionally wildlife such as birds, insects, and monkeys. Teresek Hill is a popular and relatively easy jungle hike in Taman Negara, making it suitable for most visitors with a moderate fitness level. The trail passes through dense rainforest and takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the summit. At the top, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding jungle canopy and distant mountain ranges, especially beautiful on clear days. Along the way, guides often point out medicinal plants, unique trees, and signs of wildlife, making the walk both scenic and educational.

A visit to the Batek (Negrito) Village offers a rare opportunity to learn about one of Malaysia’s oldest indigenous communities, the Batek people, who traditionally live as hunter-gatherers in and around Taman Negara. Visitors are introduced to their simple forest lifestyle, including traditional hunting tools such as blowpipes, fire-making methods, and survival skills passed down through generations.

The experience is educational and culturally enriching, providing insight into how the Batek live in harmony with the rainforest and rely on its natural resources for food, shelter, and medicine. Visitors are encouraged to be respectful, as this is a living community rather than a performance, making the visit a meaningful cultural exchange.
