2. Taj Mahal
   3h · Admission ticket included
On arrival in Agra you will meet your friendly, government-licensed local guide, who takes you straight to the Taj Mahal with skip-the-line entry. You will bypass the long ticket queues and step through the great gateway for your first view of the ivory-white marble mausoleum built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Your guide brings the story to life: the exquisite pietra dura inlay, the perfect symmetry, and the blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic influences that define Mughal architecture. You will have free time for photos at the classic reflecting-pool viewpoint. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and India's most iconic monument to love, this is a must-see attraction in Agra.
3. 45m · Admission ticket included
Break for a relaxed lunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton Agra, a 5-star hotel a short drive from the Taj Mahal. Enjoy Indian, Mughlai, and international dishes, with vegetarian, vegan, and Jain options available on request. Air-conditioned comfort and clean washrooms make this the ideal midday reset before your afternoon sightseeing in Agra.
4. Agra Fort
   1h · Admission ticket included
After lunch your guide takes you to Agra Fort, the city's second UNESCO World Heritage Site. This massive red sandstone fortress was built by Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century and served for generations as the main residence and military seat of the Mughal rulers. You will skip the queue with your pre-purchased ticket and walk through grand gateways into a walled city of marble palaces, audience halls, mosques, and gardens showcasing the finest Mughal architecture. Look for Musamman Burj, the tower where Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing across the Yamuna at the Taj Mahal he built. A highlight for anyone interested in Mughal history and Indian heritage.
5. Itmad-ud-Daula
   1h · Admission ticket included
Finish with the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, widely known as the Baby Taj. Commissioned by Empress Nur Jahan for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, a Persian nobleman and minister at Emperor Jahangir's court, this jewel-box mausoleum on the banks of the Yamuna was the first Mughal monument built entirely of white marble and the first to use pietra dura inlay on this scale, making it the direct architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal. It is quieter and far less crowded than the main monuments, and a favourite with photographers. This stop is optional.
